Bally’s Casino hands million dollar contracts to Heitmeiers

Senator Francis Heitmeier sponsored a massive tax cut for the Bally’s Belle of New Orleans riverboat casino. Six days after the highly questionable tax reduction was signed into law, Heitmeier’s brother was awarded a lucrative contract by the casino.

Amazingly, Bally’s gave his brother the contract even though they
had previously fired him for poor performance on another questionable contract.

The brother’s first contract, worth more than $2.4 million dollars was awarded after Senator Heitmeier led the fight and sponsored the legislation that ultimately created the Bally’s Belle Casino.
